Dr. Kazuyo Igawa holds a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Tokyo University (2008) and was instrumental in setting up the world’s first accelerator-based BNCT medical facility at Southern Tohoku General Hospital in Fukushima in 2014, leveraging her valuable experience in BNCT basic research and clinical study for head and neck cancers in BNCT as a maxillofacial surgeon. Since 2017, she has been an associated professor, at Neutron Therapy Research Centre, OU, and has hosted BNCT training courses for radiologists in 2021, with over 50 publications, 3 patents, and numerous invited talks at international
conferences and lectures.
